Welcome to the Bumblebee class page!

I’m thrilled to share with you what our wonderful Bumblebees will be getting up to throughout the year. We are a nurturing and fun-filled classroom, where the children will continue to have plenty of opportunities to develop their curiosity, independence and love of learning!

At a glance- Spring 1 

  • Maths: Year 1– addition and subtraction within 20, place value within 50    Year 2– addition and subtraction within 100, money, multiplication and division
  • English: The Storm Whale in Winter (fiction), The Big Book of Blue (non-fiction).
  • Science: Habitats around the world
  • Geography: Seas and Oceans
  • Art: Observational drawings – shells, printing using recycled materials.

Home learning opportunities 

In Geography, we are learning about oceans and seas and in science, we are learning about animals and their habitats around the world. At home, see if you can research one ocean animal and find out some facts about the environment they need to live in. You could create a 3D version of your animal.
