Football Season Complete!
Our Year 6 teams (with a few Year 5 guests!) have finished their IGS Primary Sports League football seasons.
After finishing 6th in the league, the girls secured 3rd place in the Europa League Finals night – losing the semi-final on penalties before winning the 3rd place playoff 2-0. Harriet, playing upfront for the first time, grabbed both goals.
With a 3rd place league finish, the boys competed in the Champions League Finals night, also finishing 3rd. A close semi-final went against us as (eventual champions) Burley Woodhead grabbed the only goal with a long-range finish. In the playoff, the boys dominated throughout against Ben Rhydding – goals from Alex and Ben M enough to secure a straightforward win.
Well done to all the players for a fantastic season!
